Welcome to The Ride!
Welcome to The Ride!
At the request of Captain Cyndel Donoghue's family the Webster Fire Department Association will be accepting donations in lieu of flowers. These funds will be earmarked for a scholarship fund to be created honoring Cyndel's passion & commitment to the Fire & EMS service.
While Cyndel officially joined the Webster Fire Department as an active member in 2012 she was, like many of us, a lifelong member having grown up in the firehouse as well as being a Fire Explorer. Cyndel's commitment to the Webster Department was amazing & led to numerous department recognitions including being recognized as the member of the year. Cyndel was promoted to Fire Lieutenant in 2015, Deputy Fire Warden in 2016, and Captain in 2018. For most of the department Cyndel was the "Go To" for just about everything. As Captain, Cyndel brought her energy & enthusiasm to the department's training program.
Cyndel's passion for education led her to obtain numerous certifications including Pro-Board Firefighter 1 & Firefighter 2, Pro-Board Fire Inspector, and National certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. Most recently she had finished her degree in Fire Science from Lakes Region Community College and obtained certification as a Fire Investigator.
The members of the Webster Fire Department & Captain Donoghue's family would like your support in honoring her passion for helping others by continuing to help future firefighters & EMTs get access to training and education.
Checks can be mailed to the Webster Fire Department, 851 Battle Street, Webster NH 03303 or go to https://gofund.me/a8326954

Honoring America's Most Senior Veterans
ABOUT HONOR FLIGHT NEW ENGLAND
Honor Flight New England joined with the national organization Honor Flight Network in the Spring of 2009, and is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring America’s most senior veterans. Through generous donations, we transport our heroes to Washington, D.C., to visit and reflect at their memorials AT NO COST TO THE VETERAN. Top priority is currently given to the WWII Veterans, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill. Beginning in the Spring of 2016, Honor Flight New England will also begin transporting Korean War Veterans.
With approximately 500 WWII Veterans dying each day, and many Korean War Veterans not being far behind in age, our time to express our thanks to these brave men and women is running out.
Our first flight was on June 13, 2009. It was a humbling experience to be with these Veterans on our maiden voyage to D.C. Of those 50 Veterans and Guardians traveling with us, on board were 14 WWII II Prisoners of War and 5 World War II Heroes, including one hero that lost his sight while serving his country.
Honor Flight New England has learned a lot over these last six years, most notably that our veteran heroes aren’t asking for recognition. It is our position that they deserve it. Our program is just a small token of our appreciation for those that gave so much.
Please help us continue to make their dream of visiting THEIR memorials a reality. HONOR FLIGHT NEW ENGLAND — our way of saying to all our veterans — one more TOUR with HONOR.
Chris DeWolf started his fire service career as a call firefighter in Kittery Maine, and was hired full time in Dover, NH in 1987. He served with Dover Fire Rescue for 17 years and became a Paramedic. In 2004 Chris accepted a Lieutenant’s position in Newington, NH. On January 6, 2005 while responding to a call he was involved in a single car accident resulting in a Line of Duty fatality.
Chris believed strongly in family, the fire service, and the community. He had an Associates degree in Fire Science and a Bachelors degree in Organizational Management. He had a passion for his chosen profession. His love of the job was evident by the enthusiasm he brought to work every day and the relationships he fostered through his years of service. His first love, however, was undoubtedly his family.
His dedication and knowledge of the job earned him the respect of many colleagues throughout the country. He was active in training as an instructor for New Hampshire Fire Standards and Training, and received extensive training at the National Fire Academy. He enjoyed his work with the Fire & Emergency Training Network (FETN), where he served as a correspondent and technical advisor. He was one of the first to provide coverage at the Pentagon during the terrorist attacks of September 11th.
Chris shared his passion for hockey and working with youths as junior varsity hockey coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School for several years before becoming varsity hockey coach at Marshwood High School. He also coached Dover youth hockey for many years. He was an avid Red Sox fan and Civil War buff. He will always be remembered for the “Chumley Dance”, typical of his positive attitude towards life.
The DeWolf Scholarship committee awards annual scholarships each year in honor of Chris to students who are studying fire science or emergency medicine. As of 2015 we have awarded over $20,000.00. The scholarship is a 501C(3) nonprofit. Donations are tax deductible and 100% goes to the scholarship fund. Any donations are appreciated and can be sent to:
